Alice was the daughter of John Thomas & Sarah (Coffman) Bryan.

She married John Frank Grose in Cooper Co, MO on Dec. 31, 1891.

On Jan. 22, 1920, John F., age 51, & Alice, 51, were living in Otterville, Cooper Co, MO with their five children: Dwain V, age 23; George W., 21; Ira K., 18 (son); Florence V., 16; & Anna F., 14. They were buying a home on Clifton City & New Lebanon Road. John was the proprietor of a saw mill. Dwain was farming.

They were living in Clifton City when John died from a heart related condition on May 31, 1921.

Alice died at 6 p.m. on May 31, 1938, from Diabetes, which had caused gangrene of the right foot & leg. She had lived 67 years, 1 month, & 14 days. Her son, George Grose, of Otterville was the informant on her death certificate. She was buried on June 2.
