They were buying a home on Clifton City & New Lebanon Road. John was the proprietor of a saw mill. Dwain was farming.
They were living in Clifton City when John died from a heart related condition on May 31, 1921.
Alice died at 6 p.m. on May 31, 1938, from Diabetes, which had caused gangrene of the right foot & leg. She had lived 67 years, 1 month, & 14 days. Her son, George Grose, of Otterville was the informant on her death certificate. She was buried on June 2.
