EDITH M. FLETCHER was born July 28, 1903 in Hiawatha, KS to Frank and Grace (Snotgrass) Johnson and died Jan. 21, 2002 in Checotah. Services were Jan 26 at the United Pentecostal Church followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Survivors include three sons, Charlie and Donald Fletcher of Modesto, CA and Jimmy Fletcher of Tulsa, OK.; three daughters, Hattie Meeks of Checotah, Mary Lou Pryor of Vacaville, CA and Louise Myers of Lebanon, OR; two brothers, Monroe and Albert Johnson of Summit, OK; and a sister, Goldie Brandon of Van Alstyne, TX; thirty-one grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Vernon Fletcher; a daughter, Emma Jean Whisenhunt; and three brothers, August, Ralph, and Charlie Johnson.
