Linda Marie Horman was born on July 10, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa, the last of ten children that were born to Edward and Marie Korrevaar Norman.

She was a special child that was given to their family. From the very beginning everyone realized that God had lovingly made her very special. Linda was baptized at the Otley Reformed Church in Otley, Iowa. She lived with her devoted, caring parents in Otley until her father passed away in 1970. She and her mother then moved into Pella, Iowa where Linda attended the Christian Opportunity Center, which was established in Pella in 1969.

Linda was one of the first C.O.C. clients to move into the first group home. She enjoyed working in the workshop, doing puzzles and coloring. Linda enjoyed being around her big extended family.

In August 2003 she suffered a stroke, subsequently she was admitted to the Griffin Nursing Center in Knoxville, Iowa where she suffered another stroke and passed away there on Thursday, afternoon March 26, 2009 at the age of 64 years, 8 months and 16 days.

Linda's big family include the following brothers and sisters: Joe Horman of Pella, Ellen Dunaway of Monroe, Iowa Martin Horman of Ocala, Florida, Jean Menninger of Pella, Carl Horman and his wife Leona of Pella, Edwin Horman and his wife, daisy of Garland, Texas, Along with two sister-in-laws, Vera (Marion) Horman of Pella and Carolyn (John Horman) Burke of Runnells, Iowa; an Aunt Frances Ver Heul of Pella and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her father, Edwin Horman on 3 February 1970, Her mother, Marie Horman 25 January 1980. A Sister, Geneva Swank on 26 June 1957, Two brothers, L.John Horman on 17 August 1993 and Marion D. (Pete) Horman 29 March 1997, and the following brother and sister in laws: Dorothy (Joe) Horman, Ellen Jean (Martin)Horman Dunaway, Peter R. Swank, Setrith Menninga and janice (Edwin) Horman.

Linda was a member of the First Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa.
