Benjamin George Dye, age 100, passed away, April 20, 1989 in Salt Lake City.
Born June 25, 1888 in Uintah, Utah to Benjamin Brigham and Georgina Katherine Christie Dye. Married Carrie A. Moore February 9, 1909. She preceded him in death. Married Esther Timothy Powell, August 12, 1962 in Elko, Nevada. Worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a foreman. Farmed for many years in the Uinta Basin.
Survivied by wife, Esther Timothy Powell; a son, Richard G. Dye; stepdaughter, Myrna Hennefer; four stepsons, Evern Powell, Burt Powell, Myron Powell, Byron Powell; two grandsons, Ronald Dye, Garold Dye; 12 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandcildren. Preceded in death by first wife Carrie; stepdaughter, Esther Frynear; and a granddaughter, Valine Dye.
Funeral services, Saturday, April 22, 11 a.m. at the MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment Roosevelt City Cemetery. Funeral directors, MacKay Deseret Mortuary.
