Charles James Mixner, 81 of 172 W. Lake St, died Thursday afternoon in South Jersey Hospital System, Bridgeton Division where he was a patient for nine weeks. He had been in failing health the past year. Born in Bridgeton, the son of the late Harry and Florence Collins Mixner, he was the husband of the late Sadie Wingate Mixner, who died in 1985. A lifetime area resident, he lived at his present address for 13 years. Mr. Mixner was employed by the Wheaton Glass Co. as a mold maker for forty years, retiring in 1972. He was previously employed by the Ferracute Machine Co. for several years. A member of Brearley Lodge No. F&AM, he also belonged to Brearley Chapter No. 6 Royal Arch Masons of which he was the principal sojourner. He was a member of Bridgeton Forest No. 7 Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the former Cumberland Chapter No. 145 Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of Shiloh Seventh Day Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter from his first marriage to the late Mary Gant Mixner, who died in 1962, Darlene Boner, with whom he resided; a brother, Lewis Mixner of Biloxi, Miss; and three grandchildren. Charles Boner of Cherry Hill and Debbie Frost and Mary Boner, both of Bridgeton. He was predeceased by a sister, Irene Davis. Services will be held at 11 a.m. from the Carll-Peterson-Ilacqua Fune Funeral Home, 208 E. Commerce St., with the Rev. Donald Chroniger, pastor of Seventh Day Baptist Church and his former pastor, the Rev. Charles Bond, officiating. Burial will be made in Geenwood Memorial Park, Millville
