Mr. Aaron Joseph King, RN, age 51, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away in Gautier, MS.

Mr. King was born on June 8, 1955, in Biloxi, MS. He lived most of his life in Ocean Springs except when he resided in Texas, Arkansas, and Florida, He was a 1973 graduate of St. Martin High School, later becoming an EMT and finally achieving his life's goal of being a registered nurse. During this time, he was employed in Houston, TX., with Hospice, Biloxi Regional Hospital and Singing River Hospital. Joey loved being an RN because he did what he loved most, helping people. He had a love of life, enjoyed fishing, camping, bonfires, Sammy Kershaw, and lived life to the fullest until the end. All of his family and friends have fond memories of times that they all shared with Joey. He was a great son, brother and uncle and will be deeply missed. Joey was of the Baptist faith and had a strong belief in God who we know helped him through his final days.

Joey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Bernice King and James F. and Myrtle Chunn.

Survivors include his parents, Roger and Peggy King, brother, Roger (Mitzi) King, and two sisters, Lori (Ray) King, and Paula (Jeffrey) Dowdy.

Joey never had any children until two years ago when he fell in love and adopted a little dachshund named Peanut who will also miss Joey greatly.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, from 10 AM - 12 Noon, with a 12 Noon chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Seymour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made in his name to the Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Society, 111 Broadway, 19th Floor, New York, New York, 10006
