Barbara Atwood Hardman, 79, died September 29, 1999 in Anchorage, Alaska.


Barbara was the last child born to Simeon Earnest and Josephine Brannon Atwood on August 17, 1920 in Mount Emmons, Utah, where she grew up.


Barbara married her "one love" Leo Charles Hardman December 9, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They resided in the Salt Lake area raising their five children. In 1965, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska.


Their five children are Barbara Charleen Bird, West Valley City, Utah; Beverly A. Sprague, Anchorage, Alaska; Sterling Leo Hardman, Anchorage, Alaska; Zayne Scott Hardman Cresswell, Oregon; and Edmund Van Hardman, Anchorage, Alaska. She was and is a "Gram" to 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, also her husband and two sons, Sterling and Ed.


Graveside Services and Burial will be held in the Fort Richardson Cemetery, Alaska.
