Mrs. Ferne E. Carncross, 69, of Collinsville, mother of Jack W. Carncross of Springfield, died Tuesday at the Calvin Johnson Nursing Home at Belleville. Her husband Gordon preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1967.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Oscar S. Childers of Fairview Heights; one son, Jack W. of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Venice Holmes of Kilgore, Tex.; Mrs. Golda Pennington of Lawrenceville; one brother, Arthur Overmyer of Buena Park, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Services at Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, with graveside services at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.
