John Coffey Funeral Held - John Howard Coffey, 67, of Rt. 2, Oneida, passed away at the Scott County Hospital Monday, Aug. 16, 1971. He was the son of the late Henry Coffey and the late Jennie Hurt Coffey, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors, wife, Myrtle Chitwood Coffey of Rt. 2, Oneida; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Kay Jeffers of Oneida; one son, James A. Coffey, of Winfield; two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Vaughn and Della Coffey both of Oneida; one brother, Alton Coffey of Oneida; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Bethlehem Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, with the Rev. Roy Blevins and Rev. James E. Marcum officiating. Burial followed in the Litton Cemetery.
