Orange's siblings were: Annice (b. 1811), Harvey (1813-1869), Samuel M. (1817-1909), Anna (1819-1849), Lucius (1820-1897), Jerry (b. 1822), Marina (b. 1823), Hannah (b. 1828), William Saunders (b. 1830), Ira Wilson (1833-1923), and Cornelius (1835-1864).

Orange married, September 13, 1837 at Whitehall, Washington County, New York, Sarah Chapin Wright (1816-1895) by whom he had 9 children (4 sons and 5 daughters): Eugene Carlos (b. 1839), Lorain Phebe (1840-1895), Alice Sarah (b. 1843), Ella Frances (b. 1845), Orange Arthur (1848-1884), Hugh Marcellus (b. 1850), Herbert Elmer (1853-1904), Mary Gertrude (b. 1856), and Percie Eloise (b. 1860).

Orange moved to Hanover, Michigan, in the fall of 1837. and in 1850 to Jonesville, Michigan, where he settled.
