1865 Omaha Scout payroll records Henry was described as 5'8" dark complexion, black eyes & hair. In 1865 between May 3 and June 30 he was on detach service at Ft Kearney by order of Col RK Livingston in the East Sub District of the Plains.
He served as an Interpreter for the Omaha Scouts. He was listed on the Winnebago Indian census 1892-1895. On the census he is listed as being born between 1846-7. He is not listed on the 1896 census. His wife is Mrs. Thomas Hill, (stepson) Nelson Hill, (stepdau) Emma Hill and son Joseph Rice born (1890-1)
