A life long resident of Monaca where he was born on July 9, 1917, he was a son of the late Warren and Charlotte Cairns Megill. He was a retired mill worker of St. Joe Zinc where he worked for over 30 years, a Veteran of
The U. S. Army serving in World War II and a member of the Monaca 4th. Ward Volunteer Fire Department where he also served as Chaplain and Secretary. He was also a member of Rochester Sportsman's Club and was known as a amateur musician and entertainer.
Survived by his wife of 61 years Ruth E. Moffett Megill whom he married
October 27, 1939. Two Sons and daughter in laws. William K and Lois Megill, Aliquippa and Bruce Allen and Rita Megill of Georgetown. A
Daughter Valerie Jean Megill of Fresno, California. A sister Margaret Elliott
