Margaret H. Wygocki "Martie"
Margaret "Martie" H. Wygocki Lansing Age 82, passed away at her home on Friday, September 25, 2009. On July 21, 1951 she married William M. Wygocki in Roswell, NM. After her husband retired from the Air Force they settled in Lansing in 1974. Margaret was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and was involved in the church guild and the local library. Even with raising seven children she still had time to be mom to all the neighborhood kids. Wherever we lived her house was always an open gathering place with plenty of food and lots of laughter. Martie and Bill enjoyed polka dancing and cards. Martie passed her love for life and laughter to all her children. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Elizabeth Hannifin; husband William M. Wygocki; children George Wygocki, Joseph Wygocki, Kathryn Wygocki-Meeks; sister Kathryn McCormick; brothers Daniel and Robert Hannifin; grandson Michael Wygocki; daughter-in-law Jan (Nation) Wygocki; brothers-in-law Joseph McCormick, James Maley; and sister-in-law Mary (Snyder) Hannifin. She is survived by her sons William Wygocki of Lansing, James Wygocki of Grand Ledge; daughters Viola (Stephen) Hale of Indianapolis, Mary Wygocki of Roswell, NM; daughter-in-law Rae Wygocki of Lansing; brother Patrick Hannifin of Sedona Beach CA; sister Betty Adkins of Denver CO; sisters-in-law Maxine Hannifin of Midland, TX, Eunice Wygocki-Maley of Fernadino Beach, FL, Barbara Hannifin of Roswell, NM; grandchildren Stephanie Wygocki, Matthew and Nicholas Hale, James Wygocki, Chris (Angel) Meeks, Joseph (Joni) Wygocki, Michelle (Greg) Rosales; great grandchildren Michael, Jonathon, James Paul, Karissa, Kiersten, Alexander; various nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing officiated by Fr. John Klein of St. Gerard Catholic Church. The family will be receiving friends and visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday at the funeral home.
