Amos Marion Flin was born at Morristown,
Indiana on February 6, 1867 and passed away
at the home of his son in Boring, Oregon on
July 8, 1949 at the age of 82 years, 5 months
and 2 days.
In the fall of 1881, he with his parents moved
to Frankfort, Kansas where he resided 64
years.
On February5,1908 he was united in marriage
to Jennie McRae, who passed away August
20, 1924. To this union was born one son,
Francis, who survives.
He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and the
S.B.A. Lodges of Frankfort and the Modern
Woodman Lodge of Winifred, Kansas.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son,
Francis L. Flin and three grandchildren; one
brother, Owen Flin, Frankfort, Kansas; two
sisters, Mrs. Tillie Collins, Atchison, Kansas
and Mrs. Daisy Denlinger, Frankfort, Kansas
Three sisters Mrs. Jennie Martin, Mrs. Mollie
Kelley and Mrs. Alice Hellman preceded him
in death.
He also leaves two step-children and many
other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held by Reverend C.F.
Jenkins at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14,
1949 at the Padden Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
