Born 9-13-1913 -- Died 12-27-2004
Ira Glen Pemberton, 91, of Gepp, Ark., son of the late Dave Pemberton and Artie Brown Pemberton, was born Sept. 13, 1913. He died Dec. 27, 2004, at his home in Gepp.
He married Emma Price July 6, 1941, at Salem.
He was employed for many years by the Arkansas Highway Department as a deck hand on the Lake Norfork Ferry Boat.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law -- Harold and Phyllis Turner of Salem, and Dean and Melba Joice of Salem; a brother, Amos Pemerton of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren -- Michael and Leah Turner and Brandie, Katie and Kathryn Joice and three great-grandchildren -- Collin, Cole and Haley Turner.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two sisters -- Johnnie Lester and Sally Pemerton; and his father and mother.
The funeral was Dec. 30 at County Line Baptist Church with burial in the County Line Cemetery. Arrangements were by Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
