Mr. Mackall was the retired Vice President in charge of sales for the Bethlehem Steel Company. He was a member of the War Industries Board and head of the steel section for the Allied Munitions Council in World War I. In World War II he was a member of the Advisory Committee of the War Production Board and on the Steel Production Advisory Committee, Office of Industry Cooperation, Department of Labor.
He joined Bethlehem Steel in 1907 after graduating from Lehigh University. In 1927 he was promoted to general manager of sales. He became Vice President of sales in 1928. In 1932 he was elected a Director of the corporation.
He was a member of the Chevy Chase Country Club and the Metropolitan Club.
He was the brother of Nina MacKall of Bethlehem and Daisy Mackall Evans of Washington, D.C.
