auline Andrews Owens, age 73, of 812 Occoneechee Ave., Asheboro died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Universal Health Care Of Raleigh.

Mrs. Owens was a native of Avery County, NC and was employed with several textile mills in the Asheboro area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Nelson Owens.

She is survived by her son, Richard N. Owens and his wife Julia of Cary, NC and their children, Tyler, Katherine, and Meagan Owens all of Cary, NC; sisters, Carolyn Mae Barron and Cora Lee Myers both of Long Beach, CA, and Betty Moore of Hickory, NC.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 2:00-3:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 4:00 PM in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro with Rev. Marion Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Hospice or any cancer related organizations.
