Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Hill Funeral Home chapel at Alva with Rev. Floyd Strater officiating for Lorenzo D. Romig, 87, who died at his home Monday, October 18, 1965, after a brief illness. Burial will be in Whitehorse Cemetery at Alva under direction of Darnall Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Rader, Leonard Rader, Earnest Rader, Claude Munger, Frank Davison and Mandred Cline.
Born in Esbon, Kansas, he moved to 18 miles were of Alva in 1898. He ran the Whitehorse Post Office in Teagarden before he moved to Enid in 1946. He lived here until his death. He had operated a grocery store, filling station and a post office. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Delmar (Hester) Cline, Enid; Mrs. Dortha Stegman, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Orval (Fay) Parkhurst, Los Angeles, California; one sister, Mrs. Julia Moyer, Esbon, Kansas; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
