GRANITE FALLS - The funeral for Greta Gutherie Fowler, 88, 899 Fowler Road, was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church by the Revs. Paul Hart and John Cole.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Fowler died Thursday at Snyder Rest Home near Lenoir following a period of declining health.
She was born June 4, 1898, in Iredell County, a daughter of the late Jasper Roland and Annie Elizabeth Gutherie. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Fowler; A daughter, Elizabeth Mackie; four brothers; and three sisters.
She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Cloyd Fowler of Lenoir and Bill Fowler and Ralph Fowler of Granite Falls; a sister, Eula Whisnant of Granite Falls; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mackie-High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
