Wilson, Savanah Strunk-92, of the Pleasant Grove community at Winfield, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 1983, at the Scott County Hospital following a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late Marion Strunk and the late Mary Davenport Strunk, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Wilson; one infant daughter, Edna Wilson; and eight brothers, John, Charlie, George, Calvin, Robert, Ray, Hillary, and Marion Strunk, Jr., Mrs. Wilson is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sherman (Mary) Wooton of Taylor, Mich., and Mrs. Raymond (Polly) Walker of Muncie, Ind.; two sons, Willie Wilson and Marion Wolford Wilson, both of the Pleasant Grove community; one sister, Eva Wilson of the Pleasant Grove community; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Pleasant Grove United Baptist Church, with Rev. Sherman Smith and Rev. John Ralph Stephens officiating.
