His first wife is Nancy C Thompson (31 Dec 1857- 18 Jan 1884 KS). They were married 21 Nov 1878 in Cherokee County, KS. Nancy and Silvester had 2 sons Eddie (27 Mar 1880-3 Aug 1882 KS) and Walter born about 1883 KS. Nancy and Eddie are both buried in Borland Cemetery, Cherokee County, KS.
Silvester then married Miss Ada B Middlesworth in Eugene, Lane, Oregon on 3 Jul 1911. She died 26 May 1960 in Clatsop County, Oregon. Her memorial is not on Findagrave.
