G. A. Barrett Passed Away Friday Morning

George Aldridge Barrett, age 63, died at his home in Decatur Friday morning following an illness of about two months.

Mr. Barrett has been living in Decatur for several years but was a native of Lawrence County and has many relatives and friends here.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. L. F. Cook of Town Creek and Miss Melba Barrett of Decatur; four sons, Hansell of Hartselle, Blevins, James and Rayburn of Decatur, and four grandchildren.

Funeral rites were conducted Saturday afternoon at Moulton Baptist Church by Rev. C. L. Cobbs, pastor of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church, Decatur, assisted by Rev. W. M. Wear.

Aubrey Craig, Pruitt Walker, Guy Counts, Mack Pickens, Preston Thompson and Willis Clyde Vaughn served as pallbearers.
