A daughter of the late Joe G. and Laura L. Huckabee Simmons, she was born November 11, 1920 at Dover.
During World War II she was an inspector at the ammunition plant in Jacksonville, and later helped her husband on their cattle farm. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Atkins Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by seven of her siblings.
Survivors include a sister, Leea Anderson of Atkins; and a host of nephews and nieces.
The funeral service was at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Jeff Cheatham and the Rev. David Bishop. Burial was in St. Joe Cemetery near Atkins, by Shinn Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers will be Ken and Ron Anderson, Ron Eoff, Britt and Bryan Simmons and Randy Staggs.
