Terry, James Calvin-98, of Rt. 3, Oneida, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 22, 1983. He was the son of the late John Terry and the late Nancy Jane Thompson Terry and was also preceded in death by his wife, Angie Nettie Slaven Terry, four sons, Archie, Lawrence, Lonnie and Warren G. Terry, two sisters and five brothers. He was a member of the Opossum Rock United Baptist Church. Mr. Terry is survived by his son, James Elmer Terry of Oneida, three daughters, Bertha Terry, Dorothy Terry and Josephine Kidd, all of Oneida, 38 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Opossum Rock United Baptist Church at 2 P.M. Tuesday, May 24 with Rev. C. J. (Josh) Thompson and Rev. Philip Kazee officiating. Burial was in the Opossum Rock Cemetery. Pallbearers were the grandsons of Mr. Terry.
