Lori Lynn Davis, 46, of Manassas, Virginia, departed this life surrounded by loved ones at her home on Friday, September 25, 2009, following a three year battle with breast cancer.

Born December 20, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan, she was the daughter of Charlene McMahon of Manassas, VA, and the late Wayne McMahon. She was the wife of Gale C. Davis, her husband of 12 years.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are two children, Tyler Lee and Hope Alexandra, of the home; siblings Julie McMahon of Saginaw, Michigan; Cheri Underwood of Ft. Myers, Florida, Wayne McMahon, Jr. of Bay City, Michigan; and Charleen Thornton of Ft. Myers, Florida. She is also survived by four uncles and one aunt: Dennis Esckilsen of Ft. Myers, Florida, Roscoe (Ross) A. Esckilsen of Saginaw, Michigan, and Gary Esckilsen of Estero, Florida, Lester McMahon of Saginaw, Michigan, and Patsy Taylor of Saginaw, Michigan and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Davis was employed by The Business Bank as a Vice President. She spent her professional career working at several financial institutions where she served on numerous professional committees and associations that benefitted community development.

Visitation will be held at Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA on Thursday, October 1 from 6-8pm. She will be in-state at Noon on Friday, October 2, at Manassas St. Thomas United Methodist Church, 8899 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA. A Christian Service will follow at 1pm with Rev. Burton Robinson officiating, along with Pastor Randy Haynes of Westover Baptist Church assisting. Interment will immediately follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6pm during a Celebration of Life Reception at Manassas St. Thomas Church's Fellowship Hall. A generous, nurturing and loving wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend, Lori's presence will be missed by many but her spirit will live on.
