Mrs. Abbie Bashor Garst, age 95, formerly of Rt. 2 Jonesboro, died at Reed Nursing Home Friday following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Garst was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Garst and two sons, Clyde and Elmer Garst. She was a life-long resident of Washington County and a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Craig, Malvern, Iowa; one stepson, Ray Garst of Kingsport; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sammy and Jimmy Bashor, both of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews.
Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home was in charge.
