Actor. Born in New York City, he was a character actor best known the role as Charlie Cagney on the TV series "Cagney and Lacey", from 1982 to 1988. His other credits for television include "M*A*S*H", "Empire", "Better Day", "Dark Justice", "Family Matters", among others. For feature films, he appeared in "The Mugger" (1958), "To the Shores of Hell" (1966), "American Raspberry" (1977), "The Buddy Holly Story" (1978), "Prizzi's Honor" (1985) and many more. He died of heart failure in Santa Monica, California, at age 70.
