Obituary: Former Wentworth Resident Buried
Charles D. Coates, former Lake County resident, who died March 16 in Medford, Ore., was buried Monday afternoon after funeral services in the Hallenbeck funeral home.
Rev. H. W. Lebsack officiated at the services.
Mr. Coates, who was born June 11, 1858, in Dayton, Wis., moved with his family to a farm near Wentworth in 1922. He lived there until 1948, when he moved to Medford, Ore. His wife and three sons preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, Francis M. Coates, Medford, Charles W. Coates, Everett, Wash., and James P. Coates, Madison; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Seagren, Ladysmith, Wis.; Mrs. Avilla L. Lillie, Perry, Ia.; and 28 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
