Ursula Dempsey Carter, 60, of 5110 Nickel Plate Drive, Pea Ridge, died 25 May 1965 in a Huntington hospital after an illness of 4 months. She was born, Carmen Ursula Dempsey, in Winifrede Junction, Kanawha County, WV on 18 January 1905, the daughter of Walter Dempsey and Mary Ella Peters Dempsey.
Ursula was a retired registered nurse for the International Nickel Company, and had been a resident of Huntington for 40 years. She was a member of Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church, the West Virginia Nurses Association and the Pea Ridge Woman's Association, of which she was past president.
She was survived by her husband N. H. Carter. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lyle Jack Yates.
