Funeral services for David Tennis Melson, 28, of 2920 Truman Avenue SW, Decatur, were conducted Wednesday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Lawrence officiating.

Burial was in Roselawn Gardens of Memory with Shelton Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Melson died Monday, February 25, at his residence. He was employed by Bama-Tex Datsun.

He is survived by three daughters, Amy Nicole Melson, Geneva Faye Melson and Angela Denise Melson, all of Decatur; his mother, Geneva Fowler of Somerville; three brothers, Gene Russell, Vincent Melson and Tony Melson, all of Somerville; one sister, Annie Christie Melson of Somerville; and his grandmothers, Annie Mae Russell of Somerville and Lola Kelley of Lacey's Spring.

Pallbearers were Johnny Griffith, Wayne Willingham, Shane Russell, Gary Jones, Danny Willingham, Dusty Griffith and Phillip Duncan.
