Mr. Allen "Dale" Raburn, 49, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, in Houston. He was born June 15, 1955 in Ennis, the son of Thomas and Mattie Lou Simmons Raburn. He was reared in Ennis and was a 1973 graduate of Ennis High School. He was employed by Rectorseal as a Lab Technician in Houston. He had many interests including reading, computers and sports. He especially loved his pets, Mugsy, Gizmo and Angela. He is survived by two brothers and their wives, Larry and Janet Raburn, Marty and Lisa Raburn all of Ennis; two sisters and their husbands, Brenda and Gary Wickliffe, Karen and Ernest Castillo, Jr all of Ennis; two aunts, Vivian Welch of Houston and Bettie Johnson of Ennis; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mattie Lou Raburn. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Keever Chapel with John L. Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary with the following serving as pallbearers, Jason Raburn, Nathan Crow, Corey Crow, Jonathan Castillo, Zachary Castillo and Dillon Castillo. Honorary pallbearer will be Kameron Raburn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
