Emma Dorothia Magsam, 74, of Euclid, died Saturday, June 12, 1993 at the Riverview Nursing Home in Crookston.
The funeral service is Tuesday, June 15, at 11 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church in Crookston. Visitation is Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Stenshoel Funeral Chapel, and an hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston.
She was born January 19, 1919 near Euclid, the daughter of Andreas and Mary (Amburst) Nielsen. She was raised on the family farm and attended rural school.
On October 2, 1944, she married Paul W. Magsam in Euclid. They made their home on the farm, which they purchased from Paul's mother, east of Euclid. They retired in 1976, continuing to live on the farm.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; four sons, Kenneth of Glenwood, Illinois, Loren of Maple Grove, Keith of St. Cloud, and Donald of Richville; four daughters, Glenna (Mrs. Michael) Hughes of St. Louis, MO, Una (Mrs. Jeff) Johnson of Nashville, Tenn., Joy (Mrs. Randy) Torvinen of Menahga and Joleen Magsam of Northfield, MO; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Louis Marie; six sisters, Dora, Elsie, Sophia, Anna, Marie and Lena; and three brothers, Clarence, Andrew, and Adolph.
