Jackson, near Akersville, this county, died at the home of her son/ law and daughter Ellis and Eddith(Jackson) Akers near Crystal Spring, in Brush Creek valley, on Thursday, August 07, 1919, aged 74 yrs, 4 months, and 1 day.The funeral services which were held Saturday afternoon, were conducted by Rev. Robert Allen, of the M.E. Church, Everett, Pennsylvania and interment was made in the cemetery at Akersville.
Mrs. Jackson was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Elijah Hanks, deseased, and she was married to James R. Jackson on the 15th of September, 1867. To this union were born 7 sons and 2 daughters, namely, Eddith, wife of Ellis Akers, crystal Springs; Charles M., Altoona; Boyd S., Everett; Cecelia, wife of B. Moody Stewart, Hooversville, PA; Treverton E., Breezewood, PA; John R., McConnellsburg; Philip I., Riverside, California; and Hunter, Altoona-- - all of whom are living - - the youngest being 30 yrs of age. Besides her husband, she is also survived by one half brother, Simon Hanks, of Bedford, PA and by 25 grandchildren.
