KEESEVILLE -- Victoria B. Barber, 84, of Jackson Street, Keeseville, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 at her home.
She was born in Plattsburgh, Nov. 12, 1923, the daughter of Francis F. and Margaret (LaMountain) Bezio.
She graduated from Keeseville High School in 1941 and worked at Mace's clothing store in Keeseville for a while. She later worked for Keeseville National Bank, retiring as vice president and cashier in November of 1981 following more than 30 years of service.
Victoria was a communicant of St. John's Church in Keeseville and served on various committees for the Catholic Community of Keeseville. She stayed active with the Keeseville High School Alumni Committee.
She enjoyed traveling and will be remembered as a wonderful cook and a loyal and dedicated friend.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Carl Floyd of Westport; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Kathryn Bezio of Keeseville; two sisters-in-law, Viola Bezio of Keeseville, and Tina Way and her husband Robert of Keeseville; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Rayburn Patnode; second husband, Warren Barber; and two brothers, Francis A. Bezio and Sherman R. Bezio.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton St., Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton St., Keeseville.
