Funeral services for Ralph E. Evans, father of Mrs. Cecil Pearcy, were held Monday at Hugoton, Kans. Mr. Evans died in a Weatherford nursing home last Friday after an illness of several months.
He was 74 years of age. His wife died last February 15.
Mr. Evans came to Eakly to live with his daughter. His health went down so rapidly he was placed in the nursing home, soon after.
Besides Mrs. Pearcy, his only daughter, Mr. Evans is also survived by a son, Vernon of Loma Linda, Calif. Mrs. Pearcy's husband, Rev. Cecil Pearcy, is pastor of the Eakly Assembly of God church.
