Mishap Kills Highway Worker
MORRIS, OK (AP) - A 58-year old Highway Department worker died Monday in an accident on U.S. 62 three miles east of Morris in Okmulgee County.
Dead is Austin Behn of Okmulgee.
According to the Highway Patrol, Behn was standing between a dump truck and a loader when the truck driver's foot slipped off the clutch. The truck moved backwards, pinning Behn against the loader.
Behn's death will not be added to the state's traffic fatality toll. The patrol has classified the accident as industrial.
