As the family historian, I have many of Grace Brown's artifacts: her childhood crib, lock of her hair, her sewing kit, her workbook from the Gillette factory where she met Chester, her ring, her childhood diary. I took part in the 100th anniversary of her death at Big Moose Lake in 2006 and placed a wreath on the lake in her honor. I am cited in both the Brandon and Brownell books on Grace.

Frank Browning Brown was born in Pharsalia, N.Y. June 28. 1856 and died at his home in DeRuyter, N.Y. Jan. 7, 1918. He was the youngest child of Chas. D. and Mary Caroline Brown. He married Minerva Babcock July 3, 1874. He is survived by his widow, two sons and six daughters, one brother alad one sister. Mr. Brown had been in failing health for more than a year. All that skilled physicians and good care could do had been done for him, but of no avail. His funeral was held at his late home, and his body placed in the vault until spring, when interment will be made in South Otselic.
