Dora Edith Criss

Mrs. Dora Edith Criss, 79, of Greenwood, died Feb. 28, 2001, of heart failure at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Criss was bom in Alabama and came to the Greenwood area in 1979. She was a neighborhood nanny for 35 years. Mrs. Criss was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Tucker.

Funeral services were held March 2 at Williams and Lord Chapel with the Rev. Gary Tanner officiating. Burial was in Moores Memorial in Carroll County.

Mrs. Criss is survived by one daughter, Edith Carlene Smith of Carrollton; two sons, Raymond O'Rear of Jasper, Ala.; Bobby Joe Watson of Haleyville, Ala.; three sisters, Roy Edna Warren of Carbon Hill, Ala.; Doris Donaldson of Fayette, Ala.; Geniece Hunt of Jasper, Ala.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Larry Smith, Randy Martin, Tony Browning, Charles Bowers, L.V. Archie and John Williams.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
