LEWISTON - Edward A. Chamberlain, 82, of Lewiston died Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Hartford on Sept. 13, 1919, the son of David E. and Mary Albert Chamberlain. He attended Hartford schools. He served with the 1880th Aviation Engineer Battalion of the U.S. Army in China-Burma-India during World War II.
He married Mamie Montigny on Nov. 24, 1949. He was employed by the Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. in Worcester, Mass., in the maintenance department. He retired to Maine in 1988.
He is survived by his wife of Lewiston; a daughter, Marie Anderson and her husband Jim of Salem, Utah; a son, Albert and wife Pat of Berthoud, Colo.; six grandchildren, Robert, Nathan and Julie Anderson, Robert, Kelly and Kate Chamberlain; five brothers, Roger and wis wife Muriel and Bernard and his wife Irene all of Lewiston, Delano and his wife Alice of Buckfield, Armand and his wife Dot of Westbrook, Lucien and his wife Annie of Worcester, Mass.
He was predeceased by two brothers, David N. and Harold.
