Anthony Forte Jr., 68, of Leisure Village West, Manchester died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was employed as a longshoreman for 36 years with the I.L.A. Local #920, first in Brooklyn, NY then on Staten Island, NY before retiring in 2003. He was a communicant of St. John's R.C. Church, Lakehurst, serving as an usher for the 11:00 a.m. mass every Sunday. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived there for most of his life and on Staten Island for 6 years before moving to Manchester in 1999. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Mary McKenna Forte; two daughters and a son in law, Carleen and David Burns, Kelly Forte and a grandson.
