Funeral services were held April 29 at First Baptist Church in Troy with Dr. Phil McRae, Rev. Raleigh Castelloe, and Dr. James Gibson officiating. Burial followed at Southside Cemetery.
Mr. Warner was a native of Montgomery County, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy. He was a charter member of the Montgomery County Rescue Squad and the first electrical inspector for Montgomery County.
Surviving are wife, Margaret S. Warner of the home; son, Gilbert Warner of Troy; daughter, Sandy Warner Saunders of Albemarle; sister, Doris Sudie Smith of Rockingham; three grandchildren.
