Gary Eudean Cruthis, 65, of Shelbyville, formerly of Sorento., IL, died at 8:50 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009, in his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 27, 2009 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with the Rev. Lee Lovett officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Lincolnland Hospice or Masonic Lodge # 861 of Sorento.
Gary was born on December 25, 1943 in Sorento, IL., the son of Olin Elwyn and Velma Eulond Ray Cruthis.
He worked for Granite City Steel until his retirement in May 2001. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 861 in Sorento and Moose Lodge #1294 in Shelbyville.
He married Patricia Ann Greimann on May 24, 1963.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; daughters: Teri Boehm and husband, Kevin, of Shelbyville; and Pamela Frost and husband, Gary, of Belleville, IL.; brother, Ron Cruthis of New Boston, IL.; sisters: Linda Duncan and husband, William; and Carol Cruthis, all of Greenville, IL.; four grandchildren: Molly and Melina Boehm of Shelbyville; and Jordan and Megan Frost of Belleville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Butler; and twin sisters in infancy.
