Entered into eternal rest on the evening of April 22, 2003, C D Bagwell, husband of Alice Louise Bizzell Bagwell. Residence, Charleston, SC.
The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. C D Bagwell are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Friday, April 25, 2003 at three o clock, at the graveside in Bethany Cemetery.
Mr. Bagwell was born January 29, 1920 in Whitney, SC, the son of Fletcher Bagwell and Jessie Mae Allen Bagwell.
He was retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and was a veteran of W.W.II. Following retirement he was employed by the US Postal Service and retired as a supervisor. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fleet Reserve. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; one daughter: Lorna Bagwell, of Dahlonega, GA; 3 sisters: Iris Pierce, Gladys Watterson, Barbara Williams all of Spartanburg, SC; 2 brothers: Simpson Bagwell of Jacksonville, FL and Bill Bagwell of Pensacola, FL.; He is pre-deceased by a son: David W. Bagwell; 2 sisters: Jennie Mae Siltzer and Lillian Hughes and one brother, Earl Bagwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandpiper Convalescent Center, Patient Van Fund, 1049 Anna Knapp Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
