Funeral services for Mrs. Almeda Stooksbury, age 88, of Manchester will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 31 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM, Sunday, May 30 at Manchester Funeral Home. Mrs. Stooksbury passed away Friday, May 28 at United Regional Medical Center in Manchester.

Mrs. Stooksbury was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late R.D. and Lillie Mae Armstrong Blanton. In earlier years, she was a seamstress at PCA and a cook in the school system. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer Von Stooksbury; a son, Larry Neal Stone; and a grandchild, Lori Ann Davis. Mrs. Stooksbury is survived by one daughter, Jeannette (Charles) Bell of Manchester; one sister, Alma Blanton Downs of Tullahoma; four grandchildren, David Bell, Lisa Rust, Robin Burks, and Jeff Seymore; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; several cousins; and very special friends, Sandra Eddings and Fay Mooneyham.
