She was born April 13, 1907, in Ohlman, the daughter of George and Anna Marie Brockman Johnson. On July 7, 1928, she married Ellis H. Henderson in Ohlman; he preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 1988.
Mrs. Henderson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville, Ladies of the Moose and United Methodist Woman.
Surviving are her nephews, Moe Johnson (wife, Judy) of Taylorville, Ed Johnson of Taylorville and Ronald Henderson of Alabama; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Donald Henderson; three brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville, with the Rev. Charlie Sward officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday.
