Services for William C. Jones, 81, long time Topeka resident, will be at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in the Penwell-Gabel Chapel with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. He died Sunday evening in a Topeka hospital. His home was at 731 Winfield.
He was born Aug. 10, 1881, at Dallas Center, Iowa, and moved to Topeka at an early age. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the IOOF Lodge.
He and Lettie Trivitt Elmore were married Sept. 23, 1903, in Topeka.
Mr. Jones is survived by his widow of the home; five sons, Clifford of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Charles of Coffeyville, Albert of Craig, Colo., Robert of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Henry of Santa Ana, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Estella marie Jackson of Portsmouth, VA., and Mrs. Betty Lou Kuhlman of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 36 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. T.B. Macauley of LaJunta, Colo.
