Dawnjannelle Marie (Kushner) Capone, 74, Juniata, died Thurs., Sept. 24, 2009 at home. She was born in Beccaria, PA to Andrew & Mary (Cooke) Kushner. She married Arturo Capone Aug. 4, 1956, at St. Mary's Church, Altoona. Survived by husband; daughters: Nicole Roefaro & husband, John, of Altoona and Keana McMahon & husband, Matt, of Pittsburgh; 8 grandchildren: Justin and Sabrina Strzelczyk, Jack and Cole McMahon and Nicholas, Nathan, Domenic and Sophia Roefaro; sisters: Betty Coffman in California and Joyce Hyder in New Jersey and brother, Andy Kushner of Altoona. Dawnjannelle was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired in 1995 from Tritex and formerly worked for Sylvania and the Altoona Shoe Factory. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a gourmet cook who could always be found in the kitchen at the Capone homestead at '1001.' Santella Funeral Home, Altoona. Committal, Calvary Cemetery.
