Mrs. Cawley was a native of Statesville, NC but had made her home in Hancock County for most of her adult life. She was a homemaker and known as "GaGa".
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, George Jackson Cawley of Sparta, three sons; Jack Cawley (Cindy) of Milledgeville, Bill Cawley (Kris) of Locust Grove, and Andy Cawley of Milledgeville, her daughter Libby Leverett (A.W.) of Milledgeville, two sisters, Joyce Raymen of Statesville, NC
and Roma Romanovsky (Tony) of Winston-Salem, NC, nine grandchildren; Brad (Karen) Leverett, Beth (Bryan) Tooke, Amy (Chuck) Martin, Dr. Chris (Courtney) Cawley, Jon (Shana) Cawley, Dr. India Cawley, David Cawley, and Joshua and Andrew Cawley whom she helped raise. She also had 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at moores funeral Home.
