Winnifred Louise Lourcey, age 61, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at Southlake Nursing & Rehab Center in Jacksonville. Winnifred was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, born on February 3, 1948 to Kenneth J. and Dorothy E. Lourcey. Winnifred is survived by her 6 sisters, Eleanor Fowler (Kenneth), Josephine Cowart (Wellie), Irene Smith (Andrew), Genevieve Hammers (David), Anita Tooke (Gregory) and Patricia Follis (Cabot); 4 brothers, Jerome Lourcey (Irene), Henry Lourcey (Mary Lou), Patrick Lourcey and Gerald Lourcey (Kathy); 26 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 28, 2009 in St. Joseph's Historic Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Cody as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2pm until 5 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2009, with a Vigil Service to be held at 3 pm, in George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
