She was born on June 7, 1941, a daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Fritz) Caldwell.
Linda graduated from Oneida High School in 1960 and was united in marriage with Thomas Tubbs on Jan. 12, 1962. Tom passed away in 1998.
Linda was employed as a drug formulation specialist for 17 years with Proctor and Gambel until her retirement. She then became a licensed practical nurse.
Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was an active member of the 1st Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Donald and Tammy Tubbs of Norwich, Amy Walrath of Elizabethtown, Ky., Elizabeth and Tom Ackerman and Thomas Tubbs of Norwich; 10 grandchildren, James, Robert and Michael Walrath, Timothy, Christofer, Theodore, Kristin and Matthew Tubbs, and Angel Towndrow and Amy Ackerman; three great-grandchildren, Alexis and Skyler Walrath and Joseph Towndrow; two brothers, Raymond and Albert Caldwell; three sisters, Janet (Bill) Moses, Sandra (Jim) Pynn and Christine (Ray) Rudolph. She was predeceased by a sister, Priscilla Hall.
A memorial service for Linda B. Tubbs will be held Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at the 1st Baptist Church, Norwich, preceded by calling hours beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Jim Horton, pastor, will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in the Oneida Castle Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
